For Nonprofits
Workshops:

Following is an outline of an 8-hour Strategic Planning Workshop for non-profit organizations and boards:

1. Mission statement review: This would entail reviewing the current mission statement to assure everyone agrees with it, or decide if the statement needs to be revised.

2. Vision statement review: This would entail creating a vision statement for the agency if one has not already been established. This statement defines what your agency sees happening as a result of your mission statement or purpose.

3. Determine your target market: This would entail the group defining who the agency wants to serve, which would help with the goal setting process.

4. Marketing to your target market: This would entail defining which resources and vehicles the agency will use to reach its target market.

5. Goal setting: This would entail establishing goals/objectives for the organization which relate to your mission statement. The goals should be established as follows:
  • Immediate goals: To be accomplished within the next day, week, two weeks, three weeks, 30, 60, 90 days.
  • Short term goals: To be accomplished within the next 4 months to 1 year (determine the number one priority for the next year).
  • Long term goals: To be accomplished within the next 18 months to 2 years.
  • Extended long term goals: To be accomplished within the next 3 to 5 years.
6. Define action-steps: This would entail establishing actions which will be taken to achieve each goal. The group will decide who will be responsible for each action step, and determine a due-date/timeline for each action step.

7. Agency programs and services: This would entail reviewing each program and service the agency wishes to offer. Based on the group's discussion decide when each program, and service, will be implemented, based on where they fit into the Agency goals.

8. What's my roll and how can we work together: This entails dialogue between the board and staff to discuss the expectations each entity has of the other. This is where the staff and board can determine how they will work together to ensure the success of the agency and its mission.

9. SWOT Analysis of the agency: This exercise entails identifying the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats of the agency.

10. Assess the competition: This would entail looking at other agencies and their services. How do they resemble, or differ from your agency? How can you set yourself apart from the other agencies? Are there opportunities for collaborations so that you aren't focusing on a program which has already been successfully created elsewhere?

*The cost for the outlined 8-hour retreat is $1,020.00(this rate reflects the 15% discount our company provides to non-profit organizations, the regular cost for this workshop is $1,200.00). Please note that the above is a guideline and can be shortened to meet your organizations desired needs and budget.

*Non-profit organizations are also entitled to a 15% discount off of the listed services on the "Other Services" page and the "Coaching Services Page/Phase II" for board members and staff.
